Selecting
a Site Style
From the style page may choose the style type and color.
Simply click the color adjacent to the style you prefer and it will
automatically be applied across all pages. You may change the style of your site
at any time. All of the font sizes and page layouts are independent of the style
and are preset and optimized for a consistent presentation.
Adding/Removing
Page Content
Your web site must contain a Home Page. You can then add
additional pages. For example, if you have a three page site you will have a
Home Page plus two additional pages.
Depending on the type of plan you selected, you have 1-7 pages to edit.
Page topics provide a specific type of information based on a category. For
example, the About Us page topic contains suggested items to include on your
page, such as a picture and a text area for company information.
Creating New Pages
From the pull down menu, select the name of the page you wish to edit and click "go." When you are finished editing the page you MUST click the "Save Your Page" button or the information will be lost. If you decide to add a different page, simply select a new topic. You may preview your work at any time.
Editing Old Pages
If you change a page topic for an existing page, it will replace the topic that previously displayed in the list box. Changing a page topic (such as changing from About Us to a Specials page) will not result in the data you entered for About Us being lost. If you decide to select About Us at a later time the information previously entered will reappear.Deleting Pages
To remove existing pages select "none" in the pull down menu and click "go." The page you removed can be restored to its last saved version at any time by reseleting it and clicking "go."
NOTE: If you're familiar with HTML
formatting you may use the text entry field to enter your own HTML tags.
Adding/Removing a Picture
or Logo
Step 1: Go the page containing the picture you wish to edit
Step 2: Click on the image icon
Step 3: Now you have three optionsNOTE: This function is not supported using Internet Explorer Browser Version 3.0
First you need to obtain your logo in .gif or .jpg format. This tool does not perform this function. You can get the image scanned and saved as .gif or .jpg. If an electronic version exists in another format, convert it to .gif or .jpg. Generally images are best displayed at 180-200 pixels wide and have a file size less than 40K. Once you have the image in the correct format, you can copy it to a diskette or to your computer's hard drive. From the page edit screen, click the image placeholder (the blue rectangle), then select "Your Computer".
Now you will need to locate the image on your computer. You can browse your computer to locate the image file by clicking the "browse" button and navigating to the location of the image on your computer.IMPORTANT:
By default, files of type "HTML files" will display in the file upload dialog box. Select "All files (*.*)".
You may also simply type in the specific path to the image.
For example: You have scanned an image and saved it in a .gif format. You name the file mypicture.gif and saved it in a folder on your C: drive called pictures. The correct path to this image is c:\pictures\mypicture.gif
When the correct path to the image file is displayed in the text box, click the Upload file button. Depending on the size of the image this could take a minute or two.
Cache Problems
Note: On some browsers a change to the selected image (logo) may not be visible when you first come back to the page. If this happens you may need to refresh or reload your browser to see it properly. This occurs because of the way some web browsers cache images. From the Image Gallery
Select Image Gallery if you want to use the pictures that are available from our private collection of images. These images are stored on our server.Deleting/Replacing an Image
Go to the page containing the image you wish to delete and click the image. This takes you to the "Image Selection" screen. Choose "Delete" to remove your image or you may replace it with another image from your computer or the gallery.
